Terms of Use

1. The service

MentorNode is a free platform for preparing for technical interviews. It has lessons, practice problems with in-browser code execution, spaced-repetition reviews, and an AI mentor. There are no paid plans and no usage limits. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

• Give a real email address that you control, and keep your sign-in details secure.
• An account is for one person. Don’t share it or sell it.
• You must be 18 or older, or use MentorNode with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

3. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• use the code runners for anything other than learning, for example mining cryptocurrency, attacking other systems, or running long or heavy jobs;
• use the AI mentor for anything other than the problem in front of you, or try to get it to produce harmful content;
• try to reach other users’ data, get around the site’s security, or send automated traffic to the site or its APIs;
• copy the lessons or editorials in bulk, or republish them;
• use MentorNode for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules. Where it’s reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.

4. Your code and our content

Your code is yours. You give us permission to process it only as needed to run the features you use, which includes sending it to the code-execution and AI services described in the Privacy Policy.

Our content is ours. The lessons, editorials, explanations, code examples and design of MentorNode are for your personal study. The classic interview problems themselves belong to no one, but the way we have written them up does.

5. AI and code-execution results

Hints, reviews and complexity estimates are generated automatically and can be wrong. Test results depend on third-party services that can be slow or unavailable. MentorNode is study material, not professional advice, and it doesn’t guarantee any interview outcome or job offer.

6. Voluntary contributions

You can support MentorNode with a one-time contribution on the Support page. It is a voluntary gift: it doesn’t buy any product, service, feature or priority, and it doesn’t change your access in any way. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Third-party services

Parts of MentorNode rely on other companies: Google (accounts and database), Wandbox (running Java, C++ and Go), OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to, jsDelivr and PyPI (Python in the browser), and Razorpay (payments). We aren’t responsible for their availability or their own terms.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

MentorNode is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the site. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at [city and state — to be confirmed].

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell signed-in users in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use MentorNode after that means you accept the new terms.
